We're Matt and Amy, and we're the growers behind Tŷ Mawr Market Garden. We're passionate about growing seasonal food in a way that enhances nature rather than depletes it.
We believe eating seasonally doesn't have to be boring and we're excited to bring you a selection of delicious vegetables that naturally varies through the seasons.

100% of our box contents are grown by us on our market garden here in Monmouthshire.
This means you’ll be eating truly seasonal veg throughout the year. So no tomatoes in winter or winter squash in summer - but fear not, you won’t just be eating swedes and cabbages in the darker months.
We’ve curated a crop plan which has variety and interest at it’s heart - we only grow vegetables that we’re excited to grow and eat ourselves. It is possible to eat seasonally in the UK and by choosing to shop this way you are buying into a better, more resilient and secure food system that is better for people and planet.
Growing in harmony with nature means more nutrient dense food.
Shopping directly from the grower means always getting the freshest produce.
Whatever your reason for choosing our boxes, we’d love to have you on board.

The soil is our most important resource. We follow the no-dig approach in order to avoid disturbing the soil structure and the soil food web.
Diversity is key; not just in the crops we choose to grow but how we grow them. We look for opportunities to interplant crops and use non crop plants as understories, bringing more diversity for the soil life.
Try to keep the soil covered, and filled with living roots! This means living pathways, trying to not leave beds empty, and allowing weeds to co-habit the beds as long as they're not out competing the vegetables.
p.s. we feel like it almost goes without saying, but we never use any chemical pesticides, herbicides or fertilisers.
